Introducing Our New AFSUG Board Member: Lungile Mginqi

We are pleased to announce Lungile Mginqi, Group CIO at Sasol’s appointment as a Board member of the African SAP User Group with immediate effect. 

Lungile is an experienced executive with business and IT leadership expertise that spans over two decades, with experience in leadership roles in business and technology consulting, financial services, entrepreneurship, and core Information Technology. Lungile has demonstrated a teachable point of view over the years that relies on acquiring new knowledge and using new ways to continue inspiring, mentoring, and motivating large teams to drive business value. Lungile recognises experience in anything is both a strength but equally significant weakness; continuous evolving the teachable point to be open to new experiences.  

Lungile holds an MSc in Engineering from UCT and a Certificate in Business Innovation from Stanford University in California. Lungile has enjoyed numerous career achievements, including being Partner at Accenture, CEO at Diebold and COO in his own company and currently Group CIO at Sasol.

Lungile’s leadership ethos and passion have always been about eliminating activities that do not drive business value. Lungile is passionate about Agile Management Mindset adopting Agile ways of transforming companies at the organisation level, including business and new ways of working, thinking, and doing.

Lungile Mginqi’s appointment as a Board member is in line with the AFSUG’s vision of evolving into a leading knowledge-sharing platform and showcasing Business Transformation in Action. AFSUG’s strives to achieve this vision through initiating and influencing relationships with and between key stakeholders in the SAP User Community.
