AFSUG Strengthens African SAP Community Through Collaboration With Zimbabwe SAP User Group

Written by Amanda Gibbs 10/12/2025

The African SAP User Group (AFSUG) is proud to announce its continued support of the Zimbabwe SAP User Group, marking our fourth consecutive year as a sponsor and partner at their annual community event. This yearโ€™s gathering, themed โ€œThe SAP Future Is Here: Interconnections for Journeying Forward,โ€ brought together SAP customers, partners, youth, and industry professionals committed to learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

FSUG was honoured to contribute four distinguished speakers from our community:

  • Mudzunga Masakona โ€“ AECI
  • Dion Kalicharan โ€“ Consnet
  • Eugene Ras โ€“ Heineken
  • Amanda Gibbs โ€“ AFSUG CEO

Their insights reflected real-world SAP experiences, digital transformation journeys, and the importance of building strong user communities across Africa.

A New Milestone: Collaboration Agreement Signed

During the event, AFSUG and the Zimbabwe SAP User Group formalised a collaboration agreement, solidifying our shared commitment to:

  • strengthening SAP knowledge sharing across borders,
  • promoting community-led learning programmes,
  • supporting SAP customers with regional challenges and opportunities, and
  • developing future-focused skills for the African SAP ecosystem.

This agreement marks an exciting step forward as Zimbabwe formally registers its SAP user community and works toward growing its chapter with guidance and support from AFSUG.

Building a Connected African SAP Community

As AFSUG, we believe strongly in the power of unity, shared learning, and collaboration. Supporting the Zimbabwe SAP User Group is part of our broader mission to ensure that SAP customers across Africa have access to a strong, thriving, and interconnected network.

We are proud to walk this journey together โ€” helping this community learn, grow, and share knowledge as we collectively shape the future of SAP across the continent.
